Zach Beasley, Half Hog Customer Buellton, Ca
Old Oak Pastures is everything someone who is looking for quality meat and who cares deeply about ethical sourcing could ever hope for. My wife and I had the privilege to tour the farm and it is truly a one of a kind operation.
The property is absolutely stunning and seeing the high quality of care and attention that the animals receive is truly touching and a sigh of relief for anyone who is horrified by factory farming.

This high quality of care really shines through in the taste of the final product as well! The marbling on the pork make each cut look like a work of art!
It was also a fantastic experience to go through the cut sheet with the farmers and customize our share to our exact specifications. It was even more of a surprise to find out our share had even more than what was covered in the cut sheet! Pork jowl, leaf lard, and more that anyone looking to make high quality home cooking could ask for.
We couldn't be happier with our purchase and will continue to buy more shares in the future!

Did up 4 chops last night!! Salt pepper and garlic powder!! It is amazing!! My guests were blown away!!❤️🤤🤤 I smoked the Ham Hock for 7 hrs!! F****** dope!! It truly is the best pork I've had!! For the Whole Chicken I did a simple rosemary pepper rub with a butter basting…INCREDIBLE! Absolutely incredible.

Karen Stokes, Chicken Customer. Buellton, Ca
We are Privileged to have access to a local chicken farm for pasture raised chicken. Compared to a free range chicken National Brands, Old Oak Pastures chicken had depth, bolder flavor, a springy smoky chew, skin crisped easier and the flesh came off the bone readily! Such a treat that we never knew we needed! Keep up the great work Halli and Michael!
How our meats compare:
We mimic nature with our grazing and move cows frequently from paddock to paddock, so we don’t over graze or over rest certain areas of the ranch. We try to graze at the highest densities possible for the shortest amount of time possible and allow for recoveries up to a year long.

Cows did not evolve to live on grain. Grain requires a completely different set of enzymes for digestion and a completely different digestive process to unlock the nutrients contained inside the grain.

No MRNa Jabs, No Medications, No Antibiotics, No Nonsense.

Quality and Bioavailability of nutrients in both soil and our meat. We are focused on practicing and proving that our ranching practices lead to healthy soils and more nutrient dense meat.

We are a Network of Family Owned Ranches.

We practice "Bud Williams" style low stress livestock handling techniques on the ranch. We don’t use cattle prods and we minimize yelling and quick movements which stress cows out.

Building up ranchers in the WEST. Building soil in the WEST. Building connections in the WEST. We love talking about our regenerative ranching partners. We are focused on connection from land to plate.
