It all starts with our specialty breeds of choice. We have selected heritage breeds, not found commercially, that thrive in an open pasture setting, foraging on what nature gives them.

Our heritage breed turkeys, Bourbon Reds, are a beautiful reddish brown and white color. They grow slower, on a more natural curve than traditional turkeys, finishing with more natural nutrient density than fast growing commercial chickens.

Our birds freely roam our pastures, foraging for bugs and grubs in the soil.  We move them to new pastures daily so that they get the best forage possible.

We supplement their natural diet with a high quality Non-GMO grain mix from Modesto Milling.

We make sure our turkeys stay on our farm their whole lives.  Almost every producer in today's market, supermarkets and small farms alike, ship their animals off far away when it is time to harvest.  We take the welfare of our animals very seriously and treat them the best that we can.

Our livestock are raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids, and added growth hormones.

What will shipping cost?  For this bundle you can expect a shipping cost of approximately $20-$25.  We get special rates from UPS.  We pack everything for you with insulated boxes and ice packs to ensure everything stays frozen and ship guaranteed overnight for the highest quality.

When will I receive my turkey?   We are planning on shipping the 2nd week of November. We will keep you updated and provide an estimated pick-up/delivery date as soon as it’s available.

Thank you for supporting our small ranch, connecting with our customers is very important to us!

Halli and Michael,

  • TTTom, Half Hog. Customer Los Olivos, Ca

Did up 4 chops last night!! Salt pepper and garlic powder!! It is amazing!! My guests were blown away!!❤️🤤🤤 I smoked the Ham Hock for 7 hrs!! F****** dope!! It truly is the best pork I've had!! For the Whole Chicken I did a simple rosemary pepper rub with a butter basting…INCREDIBLE! Absolutely incredible.

  • Karen Stokes, Chicken Customer. Buellton, Ca

We are Privileged to have access to a local chicken farm for pasture raised chicken. Compared to a free range chicken National Brands, Old Oak Pastures chicken had depth, bolder flavor, a springy smoky chew, skin crisped easier and the flesh came off the bone readily! Such a treat that we never knew we needed! Keep up the great work Halli and Michael!

  • Harvey Pollack, Whole Hog Customer Pasadena, Ca

I'm really pleased with the hog. The smoked shoulder I did turn out wonderful!!

  • Jackie Grove, Chicken Customer. Long Beach, Ca

Thank you for growing chickens!! And the right way!

Regenerative Grazing

We mimic nature with our grazing and move cows frequently from paddock to paddock, so we don’t over graze or over rest certain areas of the ranch. We try to graze at the highest densities possible for the shortest amount of time possible and allow for recoveries up to a year long.

Grain and GMO Free

Cows did not evolve to live on grain. Grain requires a completely different set of enzymes for digestion and a completely different digestive process to unlock the nutrients contained inside the grain.

Chemical Free

No MRNa Jabs, No Medications, No Antibiotics, No Nonsense.

FAQ

01 -Are your animals ORGANIC?

Our chickens, turkeys and pigs eat only organic feed/snacks and the goodies that nature provides..

02 -What kind of chickens do you raise?

We raise a breed called Freedom Ranger chickens. They are a slower growing alternative to your typical "meat" chicken. They are bred to be better suited for pastures and foraging. They also produce tender, succulent meat with high levels of omega 3 fats and low levels of saturated fat.

03-What do you feed your animals?

In addition to whatever snacks they find out on pasture, plants and buggers, we offer an organic feed from Modesto Milling.

04-How much freezer space will I need for my Butcher Bundles?

-Sampler= .5 cubic ft
-Grande=  1 cubic ft
-Quarter=  2 cubic ft
-Half= 5 cubic ft
-Whole= 7 cubic ft

05-How are your animals raised?

All of our animals are raised on pasture and rotated to allow previous paddocks time to rest before they return.

06-When do you ship products?

We ship our products out on Tuesdays. If you order after Monday 5pm your order will be sent out Tuesday of the next week.

07-How do I track my order?

Once an order is placed we will send you a tracking number when your shipping label is created.

08-How long does frozen meat last?

As long as the packaging is no compromised or damaged we recommend eat within 1 year for the best quality and flavor.
